Controversial Grammar Article Backlash

Sometimes you just can’t win!  The author of “The 20 Most Controversial Rules in the Grammar World” was no doubt trying to do a good thing, but brought a backlash of criticism instead.  This is a prime example of why I would never write an article on grammar.  I work with a delightful young woman from India who once complained to me the English has too many rules.  And that it does.  Entirely too many rules.  Take a look at the article, but then read the comments to find out all the things you thought you knew about grammar but don’t.  Sometimes the critics are a better teacher than the teacher.

Blessings!
