In some ways, WordPress’ weekly photo challenge for this week is an easy one for me. The topic? Distorted. Since I shook with a wide angle lens, there is a type of distortion that occurs naturally. A wide angle lens enlarges things closest to the lens and stretches them out longer the farther away from the lens you look. I like the effect. Here are some of my favorite examples:
excellent pictures..colours are very vibrant –love ’em. 😉
Very interesting perspectives — great shots!
I can imagine getting a sore neck from taking that Portland shot. Nicely done.
Nice HDR-job there 🙂
Great pics!
That skyscraper picture is intense! Great shot! WOW!
Great selection! I love seeing what you post each week for the photo challenge.

Amazing photographs! I think they fit the theme perfectly. 🙂
I wonder. Would I you allow me to use one of these images in my Uni project? It’s an instructional piece on lenses. 🙂
Sure, I’d be honored. Which one were you thinking of using?
Probably the first but maybe the second. I may not use them, but they’re such beautiful photos I thought I’d ask just in case. 🙂 Full credit will be given of course.
Great photos. Fun angle of the skyscraper. And the blue. Ahhh. Nice.

Your processing choices really blow me away. Astonishingly dramatic!
Great photos.
Good Job…

These are great photos, even if they are a bit distorted. Great for the challenge. I used to have a wide-angled lens when I used a film camera. Perhaps I need one for my Nikon D90.
It certainly does distort one’s perception, doesn’t it?
Please feel free to drop by and view my interpretation of Distorted:
I love your entry Chris, especially the first one. Wow! Almost feels like it’s gonna take a dive! 🙂
My favorite would be the first photo …
Awesome photos.
